Here’s how to do it:
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions for a 13 x 9 inch skillet. Let the cake cool for 15 minutes after baking.
- Prepare the JELL-O according to the instructions on the package.
- Using a skewer or a fork, poke holes all over the cake. Pour the JELL-O over the cake. Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
- When ready to serve, glaze with whipped topping. Garnish with maraschino cherries.
Optional: If desired, you can put maraschino cherries in the bottom of the pan before pouring the cake batter and baking.
