Sofia Richie’s chic engagement party at home is a Pinterest mood board

After announcing the happy news on social media last month, Sofia Richie and her fiancé Elliot Grainge shared images from their engagement party held over Memorial Day weekend. The couple hosted the posh evening apparently at the family home with some of their loved ones.

Among the guests were Richie’s sister and socialite, Nicole, and her brother Miles. Nicole’s husband, Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden was also in attendance as well as twin brother Benji Madden.

The bride-to-be opted for a long-sleeved white midi dress adorned with beaded flowers and embroidered details by Antwerp brand Bernadette. She paired the ethereal look with Valentino Garavani platform sandals. The groom chose a casual linen suit, perfect for the balmy spring weather in Los Angeles.

As for the sumptuous details, it’s as if the decor came straight out of a carefully curated mood board. A long table was set with small bouquets of pink roses, candles and clear crystal glassware. The food was a combination of Italian sharing plates and a perfect pasture board, while the cake had two layers covered in dried flowers.

The drink menu included two custom cocktails for the couple. Grainge’s tequila, agave, and lime juice (so essentially a margarita), while Richie’s combined vodka, fresh blackberries, lime, ginger beer, and mint.

Richie and Grainge are believed to have been dating since late 2020, early 2021. They went public in April last year ahead of their engagement nearly 12 months later. Richie was previously (and infamously) linked to Scott Disick. The couple reportedly knew each other years before their relationship. Richie’s father is legendary singer Lionel Richie and Grainge’s father is Lucian Grainge, CEO of Universal Music Group.

“They’ve really formed a solid bond recently and Sofia likes that they don’t have any drama,” a source said when the engagement rumors arose last year. “She loves how cool and calm Elliot is and they have a lot of fun together, even when they’re low key around the house.”
